Welcome to Longmont Green Drinks!
Hello everyone! It's Aaron Nichols. You may have seen my LinkedIn solar content or met me at one of the sustainability events around the Longmont/Boulder/Fort Collins area.
The first Longmont Green Drinks was a rousing success, with forty people showing up to watch Byron Kominek speak about the amazing things he's doing over at Jack's Solar Garden. So I've decided to continue the experiment and keep the format of the first event going!
Amelia Den Boer, who runs the social media for Green Drinks Fort Collins, came to the first one and introduced me to the International Council of Green Drinkers. Thanks to her, we have this fancy new page, and Longmont is officially a Green drinkin' town!
I'll update this page as we create more events!
Where: MMMHQ at 712 Main Street, Longmont CO, 80501
What: A chance for anyone interested in sustainability or working in climate to meet and hear a presentation about Yellow Barn Farm and their sustainable models.
Who: Anyone interested in sustainability, including Greentech founders, backyard DIY solar nerds, sustainable agriculture enthusiasts, and anyone else is welcome to join.
Schedule:
6:30-7: Settling in and networking
7-7:30: Azuraye Wycoff will give a short presentation about Yellow Barn Farm, and the work they're doing around sustainable agriculture and community building.
7:30-8:30: Networking and winding down
Note:
MMMHQ is a co-working space, not a bar. We’ll have a limited amount of beer and wine for attendees. Anything you can bring and share will be appreciated, whether it's a snack or drink!
