Meetings held second Thursday of each month at Trailside Brewing Co. 

5:30: Grab a drink and network with like-minded locals.

Coming Up:

 

October 12, 2023 - Join Conserving Carolina and MountainTrue for an informative session led by Michael Huffman, the City of Hendersonville's Stormwater Division Manager, who will be delivering a comprehensive update on the City’s Stormwater Management Program. 

November 9, 2023 - Come learn about how to control non-native invasive plants in your yard, on your street, or in your Homeowner’s Association property. Bob Gale, Ecologist and Public Lands Director for MountainTrue, will discuss issues related to non-native invasive plants, methods of control, and ideas for moving your yard toward a more natural ecosystem.

December 14, 2023 - City Planning Staff will lead participants through a mapping exercise where you will be tasked to balance housing growth and economic development with choices related to transportation, quality of life and conservation.

January 11, 2024 - Join us for a presentation by Liz Hillard from Wildland Network.

February 8, 2024 - Come learn about what's happening with the Ecusta Trail from Mark Tooley, president of Friends of the Ecusta Trail!

March 14, 2024 - Join us for an informative presentation led by Caitlyn Gendusa, the City of Hendersonville Sustainability Manager. Caitlyn works in the Public Works Department and is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring City sustainability strategies. She also serves as the staff liaison to the City’s Environmental Sustainability Board. 

 

Hendersonville Green Drinks is presented by Conserving Carolina, MountainTrue, and Trailside Brewing Co.. Come to Green Drinks to learn more about current environmental issues, have relevant discussions, and meet with like-minded people. This is a monthly event and everyone is welcome. You don’t have to drink at Green Drinks, just come and listen. Trailside Brewing Co. offers beer, wine, cider, prosecco and non-alcoholic beverages. A limited food menu will be available.
