Plug into our local green networking group

Plug into our local green networking group. Green Drinks is now meeting in 745 cities worldwide. Do you support or want to make a difference for endangered species, affordable housing, human rights, global warming, protecting forests, children's welfare, or saving the planet? Do you support or want to make a difference for endangered species, affordable housing, human rights, global warming, protecting forests, children's welfare, saving the environment, corporate responsibility, women's rights, and green living? Do you have interest in learning, teaching, networking or debating ecology, alternative energy, zero carbon emissions, recycling, composting, green business or organic foods? If you answered yes to any of the above, then this is the place for you. Join us. We are stronger together as a network. Austrian physicist Fritjof Capra, author of The Hidden Connections said; “Life from its beginning more than three billion years ago did not take over the planet by combat, but by networking.” Let's take action, communicate, learn, teach, debate, work together and give examples of how to turn sustainable ideas into actual practice. What is sustainable? It is anything that is good for seven future generations and does not do harm to the present generation. Network and share your skills, ideas, and even inventions in order to help people, animals, and the environment. Whatever we focus our energy, time and money on grows. If you want a better future world, focus on that with your time, energy and money, in a positive way. There is a way through the challenges that humankind has created up to this point. Any problem is just a huge opportunity in disguise. Share, debate or forward your viewpoints, opinions, and experiences here directly or via your email. We want to hear what you have to say. We are much stronger together than apart and alone. Volunteer to be a co-organizer or promoter of this local group. By working together and implementing and/or offering green or sustainable solutions, everyone wins. You as an individual wins, your family wins, your children win, your great grandchildren win, your local community wins and in the end all of humanity wins. Share what you know... let everyone hear the wonderful news; that green solutions exist and work! Finally, remember that "We have not inherited the Earth from our fathers. We are borrowing it from our children."

Green Drinks Sept. 1

Hello Green Drinkers of Gainesville! We had a good meeting at Warehouse on August 4 – great food and drinks and wonderful space – THANK YOU Richard and Ryan! The only drawback was that it was a bit difficult to hear those who needed to share information with us, and I apologize for that to Robert Pearce, who brought us up to speed on the Koppers/Cabot Superfund Site; Rick Nesbit, who told us about his run for Alachua County School Board (vote August 24!); Kevin Veach, who told us about his new business, Green Energy Options, which provides a comprehensive energy and efficiency audit and advice on cutting your carbon footprint; and Annie Pais, who told us about The Blue Path, now on exhibit at Florida Museum of Natural History. Thank you all and all others who shared your sustainability initiatives with those of us who are forging a green road to the future. Next up, Green Drinks Gainesville will meet at The Original Pizza Palace, 604 NW 13 St., 6-8+ p.m. on Sept. 1. Mike Amish of Indigo Green Store and the U.S. Green Building Council will share his experiences building shelters in Haiti with Barrels of Hope and Jacob Cravey of EarthGivers. Come see how they did it and who they were able to help with this innovative design! Join us to share news about your own green projects and help us build a more sustainable community! Bring your friends, cards, brochures, fliers; wear a name tag! The nursery promotes the use of natives in ornamental horticulture as well as restoration. You can now find Native Daughter Nursery at the Chestertown Farmer’s Market every Saturday. CONvERsATION for CONsERvATION

It's a fascinating experience to start the greendrinks event at our village-base. It was aknd of giving new blood to our old networks of environmental activists, open new perspective for new comers and we had a chance to move forward for actions with more peoples involved. some friends already said that the would like to come for the next events, and bring more peoples. conversation for conservation will be our next month's tag-line. and we will talk about the result of bio-pore holes being made as the commitment from our 1st event.
