October 5, 2017 - Join us at Clean Ocean Access, 23 Johnnycake Hill, Middletown from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) will take us on a tour of the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, located just 150 miles offf the coast of Cape Cod. As New England's only marine monument, this amazing place is scientifically and ecologically important and belongs to the American people.

November 3, 2016 - Thanks Channing Memorial Church for an inspiring Green Drinks event. Channing was the first Unitarian Universalist church in the state to achieve a Green Sanctuary certification.

August 20, 2015 - Our annual Statewide Green Drinks at the beach with Providence Green Drinks, hosted by the Town of Narragansett at their North Beach Clubhouse, will take place on August 20.
May 7, 2015 - In May, Green Drinks Newport will go back to where we started in 2007 at Fluke Wine, Bar & Kitchen! Please join us from 4:30pm - 6:30pm for light bites and a cash bar.
April 2, 2015 - April's event will take place at the Fifth Element, hosted by 11th Hour Racing and the Volvo Ocean Race Newport Stop Over. We'll hear from the Sustainabiity Committee and their plans for the May event and even video conference with Team Alvimedica from somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean!
March 5, 2015 - Our March event is being hosted by Aquidneck Land Trust and will take place at Newport Vineyards! Please join from 5:30pm - 7:30pm for light fare, provided by Brix, with a cash bar.
Attendees learned about the Aquidneck Land Trust's 25th anniversary celebration year (they have some exciting events planned) as well as the sustainability efforts that Newport Vineyards has incorporated into the design of their new facility.

Featuring a special presentation by 5 Gyres, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating the accumulation of plastic pollution in the five subtropical ocean gyres. The 5 Gyres team will show compelling pictures and videos of their voyages aboard the 72-foot sailboat conducting research throughout our oceans. They will share personal stories and discuss how we can work to stop the flow of plastic into the sea.

August 24, 2011 - SPECIAL GREEN DRINKS EVENT! Our annual statewide Green Drinks will be held once again from 5pm-8pm at Narragansett Beach. Join the other Green Drinks chapters around the state, including a new one in Burrillville, which is the fourth chapter in Rhode Island! Newport Storm will be providing the beer and stick around for movie night on the beach!

January 13, 2010 - SPECIAL GREEN DRINKS EVENT! Join Green Drinkers from around the state of Rhode Island at the Herreshoff Museum, 1 Burnside Street, Bristol, RI. 5pm-8pm.
The Herreshoff Marine Museum is poised to become a unique model for "green" preservation and education. In 2007 the Museum embarked upon a program of "greening" its historic campus and will soon break ground on a new "green" Waterfront Education and Exhibition Center.
During the evening you'll have the opportunity to meet and hear from the Museum's team who are participating in this exciting initiative and others on the Museum's campus. Join Friedrich St. Florian Architects; Alteris Renewables; Allied Engineering; their team from Brown University's Center for Environmental Studies; Christine Malecki West, Principal of KITE Architects; GECKO; and others who are participating in this effort. Portions of the Museum's campus will be opened for special "behind the scenes" tours so that you can discover the historic structures the Museum is planning to preserve, restore, and reuse as it continues to realize its vision of bringing together businesses, schools, and individuals in a collaborative Herreshoff Marine Technology Complex where the skills and technologies of modern marine enterprise can be inspired by the past and directed toward other ventures such as renewable energy and sustainable living.
During the evening you will also be able to enjoy locally produced food and drinks from while taking inspiration from the exhibits and stories chronicling more than 150 years of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, the America's Cup, and the people and yachts that gained fame around the world.

Eating local and organic is an important part of living sustainably, but these terms can often be confusing for consumers. Karla will be educating the group about what the terms mean, what to look for and the importance of eating local and organic food.

October 4, 2007: 9 Manning Square - located at 24 Waites Wharf (between West Deck and O'Brien's), Newport, RI. Food was provided by Ladies Who Lunch, and 15% of 9 Manning Square's sales for the evening was donated to Newport Community Gardens on behalf of Green Drinks Newport.
