"Whenever we can, we source organic ingredients. This way, we not only build lasting and meaningful
partnerships with organic farmers, but we also ensure our ingredients are of the highest quality. It's about finding the very best, in a way that is good for all of us.
This philosophy influences every part of the way we do business, from the food we serve to the design of our stores to the materials we use. We use reclaimed wood and recycled Gypsum in construction, energy-efficient lamps, and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and packaging.
It's good for our bodies, our communities, and our earth."

Marsha Lederman holds BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and is currently a freelance illustrator, designer and fine artist living with her family in Arlington. Recently she has returned to her love of sculpture and is working as a resident artist at the Lee Arts Center where she has been creating terra cotta sculptural pieces and kiln fired jewelry using PMC clays, which become solid metals such as bronze and most recently white copper which is reminiscent of pewter. PMC is made from recycled metals, and the pieces are finished with filing and burnishing. She often incorporates other materials, sterling silver, fresh water pearls or cubic zirconium. Yoga imagery and nature are the main themes she has been exploring recently. Her work includes books, greeting cards, nature, and logo work for both nonprofits and corporations and she loves to be able to add humor whenever possible. She also accepts commissioned portraiture: people, houses, and pets. Her media expertise is in watercolor, pastel, pencil, pen and ink, mixed media, ceramic sculpture and precious metal clay. www.marshalederman.com www.zazzle.com/marlederman
Covet Boutique is a fabulous award winning design and jewelry shop in the heart of Bluemont. Arlington owned and operated, it is a true gem of a shop when you can find the perfect gift for just about anyone!

NativeSwell- A bit about Annie: "I have a passion for reusing, recreating and breathing new life into old components. I love making jewelry and believe that it's just another way to express who you are and how you feel about life!
The stones that I choose to work with are handpicked for not only their aesthetic but also for there healing qualities.
For thousands of years people across the globe have reveared stones & crystals for the properties which they possess. Stones have been used for ornamentation, healing and as symbols of power and strength.
The nature of the varying geometric crystalline structures and their particles in motion give each crystal and stone its unique energy resulting in varying vibrations. Crystals and stones have the ability to absorb and trasmit energy."
Conflicted Pixie- Get excited about meeting Erica, and the folks at Conflicted Pixie! "We believe in the dreamers & doers and our mission is to share their work and tell their stories. Most goods stocked in our shop are handcrafted by solopreneurs and produced in small batches, often times in the artisan's home. We believe that shopping small means supporting a new american-made economy and when your hard earned money is supporting a craft and a real person/family, it feels pretty damn good to spend it! We are a little family residing in Alexandria, VA - a product designer/maker & shop girl Mom, woodworking Dad, 2 pint size pixie daughters, and a sad face bulldog."
Christine Olmstead- Fall in love with Christine's story, let along her gorgeous fine art! "When I was 18 months old my mother (a lifelong professional artist and graphic designer) gave me a set of watercolors. The paint set is long gone, but I've been painting ever since. I've studied art history and recreated all of the masterpieces to learn technique, stroke, and color palettes. I'm a nationally recognized artist with a bachelor's degree in classical liberal arts. I'm mostly influenced by soothing music and the french impressionists, namely Monet and Degas. When you look at my pieces I want you to feel at peace, calmed, and hopeful. I want my viewers to know that there is still beauty left in the world, and I hope to inspire others to find beauty in their ordinary lives. Forsaking the cubicle life, I'm pursuing what I love with the people I love. As a full time artist and part time graphic/web designer, I have a *wonderful* husband and an imaginary cat."
Mintwood- Make new friends in Heloise and Caroline! "Heloise believes that being comfortable in your home is essential to being happy. While studying education in graduate school, The Washington Post approached her about doing a story on her rental basement apartment, which she transformed into a beautiful, budget-friendly retreat. Soon after the story ran she traded in her chalkboard for a job working with a top DC design firm. While Heloise loved interior design, she ultimately found it too exclusive and cost prohibitive for young professionals. Particularly frustrated with buying custom pillows—trade-only fabrics, high prices and long lead times—she set out to simplify the process and make great design more accessible. With a background in marketing and graphic design, Caroline has always had a passion for all things creative, with an emphasis on design and interiors. After six years in the corporate world, Caroline was itching to find a professional path that was more creative.Whether it’s managing the company’s social media presence, planning features with prominent bloggers or designing and executing a new marketing campaign, Caroline has been a crucial part of the company’s growth and success from the very beginning."
Margaret Moya- At the Moya Gallery, we co-operate with a group of the most talented artists who continuously search for new forms of expression, breaking with accepted practices and conventions. The objects available at Moya Gallery are unique in their nature. The jewelry shown here combines many artistic domains. Apart from inspiration, what counts, are the artist's ideas, as well as the quality and precision with which the pieces of jewelry were made.
Shrimp Salad Circus- You are going to seriously go gaga for Lindsay! "Shrimp Salad Circus is a daily DIY and lifestyle blog and brand I created way back in oh-nine. The blog covers everything from an extensive library of DIY tutorials to tech tips and inspiration. Here and on my different social media platforms are where I find meaningful ways to connect every day with my readers, fans, and followers in more than 200 countries across the globe."

More about the Buzz:
"While Buzz may be best known for our coffee, cupcakes and other confectionery wonders, we’re also committed to providing the very best in tea, beer and wine. We’ve also crafted a very cool little cocktail menu for those times when little else will do. These nifty libations make perfect sense to us given that Buzz is open late every night of the week and because we have a terrific people watching patio from which to imbibe.
We made a wise decision early on to surround ourselves with nothing but the best; our coffee comes compliments of MadCap Coffee and our teas are the product of Devi and Damman Frères. Our brews are handpicked by our Rustico and ChurchKey beer guru Greg Engert while sister store Planet Wine over in Del Ray weighed in with some terrific choices for our wine program. Please join us for a cup, glass or pint anytime, we’ve got all the bases covered here at Buzz."

About the venue:
Whole Foods Clarendon opened up its Organics Pub Upstairs back in September of 2012, and has been allowing patrons to enjoy a pint, a glass or a cup of their "pleasure" while strolling through the store. The Austin based company has a very happening flagship program of this pub and restaurant concept that is awesome. I'm not just saying that because I'm biased being a native Austinite, but because it just makes shopping that much more enjoyable- plus it is thriving in each of their stores where they have opened a pub! High quality Organic coffees, wines and beers are selected by the knowledgeable team and then sold in a friendly, fun atmosphere that can be enjoyed throughout the store. High-Five Whole Foods Clarendon's Jackie Zovko for working so hard to bring this Pub concept to their Arlington location! Wait... what about this NO SWAC thing?
