This listing was last updated by the Moorhead organiser on: 2020-01-28

Welcome to Fargo/Moorhead Green Drinks! We would love for you to join us for good conversation, good drinks, and good times! We are also known as the FM Sustainability Network.

All are welcome to join us for our January networking event!

Where: Front Street Taproom- 614 Main Ave. Fargo, ND

When: Thursday, January 30th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM

Why:

This month we have two separate speakers :)

Come on out and learn what Concordia students are up to within our local government. Our project is aimed to increase the amount of recycling in Moorhead apartment buildings by updating zoning ordinances, implementing collection bin requirements, and most importantly, by increasing educational opportunities for residents to learn about recycling. Our goal with this project was not to create a policy that would force residents to recycle, instead, we aimed to encourage their participation by educating them about recycling. We will be discussing our policy-writing process, challenges we faced, and next steps for implementing our recycling policy.

Growing together a Community Garden Ministry will be there to talk about their local program and how they help out the community! Growing Together gardens at the Gathering at 40th Ave S and 25th St. S Community Homes, Rabanus Park, LSSND and Catalyst West. We started with 9 families in 2006 and now have over 100 families that garden at different sites and work alongside each other.

After our gathering upstairs head on downstairs to the basement at Front Street for Nature Night: A Monthly Hangout with Nature of the North

Feel free to come and go as your schedule allows. There will be local snacks and local drinks available for purchase.
